I have a situation where I have a need to setup DMVPN but there's a catch....the 4 spoke routers connect back to the hub router on different interfaces. Is this a supported config? It seems to be working just fine in testing, using the loopback address on the hub router as the source interface. And the spokes all mapped back to the loopback address:
ip nhrp map 172.16.0.1 1.1.1.1
ip nhrp map multicast 1.1.1.1
My traffic generation for the lap test is fairly limited, mostly just ICMP from the spoke router's networks but I'm not seeing any real issues. I'm just not really finding any info if this is in fact supported, and my concern is rolling it out in production and discovering a huge problem that went unnoticed in testing.
Seemed like a good topic to get a discussion going on
