I was wondering if anyone else has come across problems when replacing service provider DSL modems with 800 series Routers. I am getting spurious issues around the process taken when doing this; for example, ensuring manual log out of the internet on the PC before replacing modem. Without this the router fails to get a successful login on repeated attempts. But some times even when this process has been followed (manual log out) the router fails to gain a successful login. Has anyone seen this issue, or is there a delay required when replacing the modem with a router, timeouts of Mac tables of DLSAM's, time out on SP Radius servers etc... Any help / ideas would be good.
