Entending Layer 2 across a Layer 3

I am needing to extend a layer 2 vlan thru an ISR router.  The vlan is configured as two dot1Q sub interfaces (G0/0/1.X and G0/0/2.X).  On my ASR's I can configure a "connect" command and link them together that way, but on the ISR, my "connect" options are limited to "Dialer and MFR".

I'm running universalk9.03.16.10.S.115-3 code level on my ISR.  Is the extended "connect" options available on a different/newer code level or is the ISR platform limited?

I'm just trying to cross a single router.  The data is coming in on one dot1q sub-interface and I need it to go out a different dot1q sub-interface.  I am not trying to OTV or anything similar.

I tried to create a "bridge interface/group/bvi" but I wasn't getting any traction in that direction as I wasn't sure how to apply it to a sub-interface.
