Hi,
I have three routers in my network and I am observing the following errors on these routers:
Router 1: startup-config file open failed (Not enough space) --> Although there is enough space in the router
Router 2: Error opening nvram:/startup-config (Unknown error 0)
Router 3:
% Warning: Saving this config to nvram may corrupt any network management or security files stored at the end of nvram.
Continue? [no]:
Please note that the platform is Cisco 3945 and IOS is c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-4.M3.bin. Please specify if this is due to bug and if yes then please help me in finding the right IOS version for the router.

With this error:
"Router 2: Error opening nvram:/startup-config (Unknown error 0)"
I have tried erasing the NVRAM with "erase nvram" and saving again.
May be it can work with the three routers.

Hi Kamran,
The problem maybe due to insufficeint space in the NVRAM. Try to supress the startup config file by issuing the command "service compress-config" in global config mode.
The size of the configuration must not exceed three times the NVRAM size. For a 128-KB size NVRAM, the largest expanded configuration file size is 384 KB.
HTH
