Ether channel

Hi,

I have 2 Layer 3 Cisco 3560G switches,I have cascaded these two.

Now I have 30 bladed servers in Server VLAN,in that is it necessary to configure the Server VLAN in both 3560G switches.

Then there is a SUN NAS server, which has 2 GBIC NIC card, they have configured the BONDING,means bundling 2 gbic like,in that case we have to also configure the 2 switch port into single 2gbic unidirectional or 2GB bidirectional .Means basically we have to bundle 2 GIBIC port into single 2GBIC unidirectional or 4 GBIC bidirectional,we did fast etherchannel ,but it is not happening,Please clarify why it is not doing? How to do a BONDING in the Cisco switch.

Please help me to resolve the issue.

Thnaks and Regards,

S.venkataraman.

Etherchanneling is only supported when sourcing from the same switch towards the same destination.

You can't have etherchanneling configured among 2 switches with the 3560G model. You could accomplish this task with the 3750G model which provides cross-stack features.

Posting your current config will help troubleshooting your case a lot better.
