Expand Etherchannel connection through two Cisco ASR 903 Gigabit interfaces

Hi,

I have a Cisco ASR 903 with two WAN links connected to two remote sites.

The two remote sites are now statically connected using a radio link and we want to create an etherchannel link using a new connection that will go through the ASR 903.

This Cisco ASR are placed physically in the "middle of the road" between this two sites and our idea is to connect one gigabit connection to one site and another gigabit connection to the other and agregate this new "logical link" to the current radio link.

I have read that I can configure a dot1q tunnel on both asr gigabit interfaces to create this "virtual" link brewteen this two sites but I don't know how do I have to configure it in the Cisco ASR.

Thnaks in advance.

Joel

Hi all,

Finally we have configured two services service instances in the interface: one for the real traffic(tagged) and the other to run lacp and cdp between end devices (untagged). This configuration worked fine and end devices created an etherchannel properly using both links (one direct link and the other using ASR903 device as bridge)

Kind regards,

Joel
