Extended VLAN range

I've downlowded the new IOS relase 12.1(22)EA5 for Cisco2950 switch in order to support the full range of VLAN IDs as mentioned on Cisco site

After upgrading the switch and tried to create vlan 2000 i got the following error message (% Failed to create VLANs 2000 VLAN(s) not available in Port Manager.

%Failed to commit extended VLAN(s) changes)

Please adivce what could be the cause of that?

What's the current VTP status on that switch ?

Extended VLANs are only supported when the switch is set to VTP Transparent. It won't work when the switch is set to VTP Server or Client.

I changed the VTP mode to transparnet and it worsk fine...
