Extenting ATM VCI range

Hi all,

we are trying to connect to an Ericsson ATM switch. The provider gave us VCIs in the range 1001 and up to 1259. Cisco by default goes between range (0-1023)

We are using a Cisco 3662 with ATM STM-1 SMI OC3 (NM-1A-OC3SMI=).

You should be able to use the following command to change that:

atm vc-per-vp

Unfortunately not much luck...

According to Cisco, the specific card we have, cannot go beyond value 1023.
