Hello,
I would like to ask if anyone has experiences with using 8MB FLASH SIMM modules from 2600 series routers in the 2500 series. I have tried to find as much information as possible but the technical info about 2500 FLASH modules is very sparse.
I am trying to extend a few 2500 series routers with more FLASH and I have some 2600 series 8MB FLASH modules handy but I am not sure if they are usable in the 2500 series routers.
Any suggestion is appreciated!
Best regards,
Peter

Hello Peter,
unfortunately, the flash SIMMs from the 2600 are not compatible with, or usable in, the 2500 series routers.
Check these links for details:
8MB Cisco 2500 (old BIOS) Approved Flash SIMM (p/n MEM-1X8F)
