Frame Relay Traffic Shaping

Hi all,

I have an issue where I will have to change the traffic shaping parameters. This will be done off hours, but I am wondering what the best practice for this is. Should I edit the current map-class or create another map-class and swap out the interface configuration. Here is the configuration I will be changing.

Change from:

map-class frame-relay shapeforT1

frame-relay cir 768000

frame-relay bc 7680

frame-relay be 0

service-policy output IPFRCOS

Change to:

map-class frame-relay shapeforT1

frame-relay cir 729600

frame-relay bc 7296

frame-relay be 0

service-policy output IPFRCOS

You could edit the current map-class without any problems. I've done it plenty of times.

I would just edit the current map, especially if traffic will be low.
