frf.16 and voip

hi,

we have a lot of frf.16 connections for dataconnections.

since about half a year we transport voip over these frf.16 bundles.

we are using llq (a service-policy)on the main-interface.

BUT:

what about the load-balancing mechanism which makes the paket decision?

if for example one voip paket is transmitted over the first of two bundle lines and if the comes a large data paket in, which is forwardet over the second link could it be that further voip pakets comes to the far end in a different order - so that the seq# of the rtp pakets are in a wrong order?

if yes - what is the solution ?

thanks for any answer !

The answer is that if you are using a link <768k you should be fragmenting the packets so that your traffic is not excessively delayed. There is a jitter buffer on either end of the link that should handle any delay variation.
