2811 router flash:c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-8d.bin
there are currently 3 VIC2-4FXO cards in slots 1-3. and 1 T1 card ..However the router is only recognizing the first 2. SH VER shows that there are 12 Voice FXO Interfaces.
Already tried moving cards around. No difference. Also moved the T1 card to last slot and tried the FXO cards in first 3 slots. Still does not work. Only ever sees the 1st 2 FXO cards no matter what slots they are in.
any ideas? greatly appreciate the help!

Hi,
Can you please send the show diag output from the router. Could be an issue of DSPs.

sure .... I see it... PVDM Slot 0:
8-channel (G.711) Voice/Fax PVDMII
8 channel- only going to support 8 of the 12..is that correct?
Slot 0:

Hi,
Considering that you have the following modules -
VIC2-4FXO [3Nos.]
VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 [T1]
You'll need total 3 DSPs.
one PVDM2-32 + one PVDM2-8
I guess you'll have to add one more PVDM.
One PVDM2-8 is capable of supporting 8 FXO interfaces and this is what is happening with you. So you need additional DSPs for the other voice interfaces to be detected.
Hope this clarifies.

Hi, I have a question regarding your answer here. Is there any way you could run a VIC2-4FXO without any DSP's? Like possible in software?

Hi Peter,
I don't think that's possible. Hardware DSPs would be required for the card to work.
I am not saying that what you mentioned is not at all possible, i would rather say that its not implemented in such a way on cisco routers.
