Hi members,
We faced interface down when trying to enable gi0/0/3 on ASR1002 to interconnect using a cat6 to a Cisco 6500 switch on gi6/1. The interface module used was a GLC-T 1000Base-T SFP(non cisco sfp)
interface GigabitEthernet0/0/3
no ip address
no ip redirects
no ip unreachables
no ip proxy-arp
negotiation auto
no mop enabled
end
TRANSCEIVER-6-INSERTED: SIP0/0: transceiver module inserted in GigabitEthernet0/0/3
TRANSCEIVER-3-INIT_FAILURE: SIP0/0: Detected for transceiver module in GigabitEthernet0/0/3, module disabled
Any timely assistance in resolving this issue will be much appreciated.

Hi experts,
We even tried a Cisco brand SFP but still facing the issue(interface down)
Also need adding that for both non-cisco and cisco sfp there was a critical alarm
Hardware Status | Critical |
This was only cleared by disabling the interface for gi0/0/3
Please assist...
Best Regards,
