global tunnel in vrf ???

hello,

is it possible to configure a tunnel, which has the source and destinationinterface in a vrf AND this tunnel should be a global interface.

with this scenario a want to define a backup pe-pe connection.

This can be achieved with the tunnel interface command "tunnel vrf". This command forces the lookup of the tunnel source and destination addresses in the configured VRF.

thx for answer.

yes, i know this command - but in every example i read, the tunnel itself is in a vrf.

i want the tunnel (which has source and destination in a vrf) to be a global interface, where i can configure label-switching for example.

i want to use a vrf interface on a pe for backuping the global pe-pe interface.

i know - its a littlebit strange - but i want to try.

The tunnel interface itself will be part of the global unless you specifically configure it to be part of a VRF using the command "ip vrf forwarding ".

What level of code are you running? This feature as been integrated in 12.3T.

i use

System image file is "disk2:c7200-js-mz.123-12a.bin"

so i have to upgrade to 12.3T or i think its better to use 12.4
