Please find the attached Diagrams. I want to know how I can eliminate the Hub/Switch placed between Redundant Router and ASA Firewall. The option I have in mind is
1. Using OSPF/EIGRP between Router and ASA, In Router Bridging Gig0/0 and Gig0/1 can be avoided and using OSPF cost i can engineer the traffic. In ASA GIG0 & GIG1 will be configured in same Security Level and Interface (OUTSIDE) and run OSPF as we will do in the Router.
IS THIS IS A CORRECT VALIDATED DESIGN?
If any other best practice is recommended, Please share with me.
