Hello,

what is the best way to configure a Cisco 2951 router as an NTP server?

(I thought I set it up correctly a while ago, and used time.nist.gov, but I must have done something wrong, since I cannot connect to that server anymore.)

thanks,

Ron

What is the budget?

A raspberry Pi operating as an NTP Stratum 1 is probably the best method.

One very good reason why this is a good option is the rPi is INSIDE your network.

What I want to do is  use  the 2951 that is connected to the outside world as a client/server, it  gets it's time from somewhere (NIST), and acts as a server for  the rest of the network.

I have enough RPIs lying around, but that wasn't what I wanted to know nor planning on.
