Hey guys;

I have a problem that tired me, and hope to find someone can help!

I have Cisco 6509-E with SUP720 which run multihomed BGP and worked very perfectly.

I'm running also: OSPF/SNMP/PBR/ACL/Distributed CEF

ISP1 bandwidth is 2.5 Gbps ( Etherchannel with 3 Interfaces) , ISP2 bandwidth is 350 Mbps.

The problem is that i have from 8am to 3pm and from 7pm to 12pm a very high CPU rate due to Interruption however ranning CEF.

All The time the CPU Rate is 87%/81%, which means that no process have a high rate

IOS Used:

s72033-advipservicesk9-mz.151-1.SY1.bin

Note: when i shutdown ISP1 the cpu go down to 7%/2%

Any show results needed i can provide it to you.

Here is some outputs can help.!

What IOS are you using?

s72033-advipservicesk9-mz.151-1.SY1.bin

I don't think that it's a IOS bug because i ran this switch since 3 months and the problem begin since last few days.

So please anyone can guide me ? the situation is very urgent !!!!!

One question for you then, if this is urgent why did you NOT contact Cisco TAC and raise a Case?

I solved the problem, Thanks VOLUNTEERS

I found that i must make some MLS rate-limit to unicast traffic which hit my cpu at high rate without handling of CEF

Thanks Alot
