Hello,

Each time I enter show run on my router 2821, it takes ages to display and I have a cpu peak from the ssh process ( I am connected through SSH)

RTR-2821-01#sh proc cpu sorted

CPU utilization for five seconds: 96%/21%; one minute: 34%; five minutes: 22%

PID Runtime(ms)   Invoked      uSecs   5Sec   1Min   5Min TTY Process

  55       26948       814      33105 74.96% 16.92%  5.87% 323 SSH Process

What should i do ?

Most probably your running configuration is too big, you can save your running configuration and then use startup config to check the configuations.

Current configuration : 106021 bytes

That is indeed could be this... Showing startup config is much quicker, thank you for this !

Hi,

SSH Process— Might go high if capturing a show tech or some debug is enabled.
I would start with making sure no debug is running with the command 'no debug all'

And if you have any tunnels like DMVPN then adjust the MTU on the Tunnel Interface to 1440 on the Hub end and the Spoke end also

Hope this will help you...

Naidu.
