For network module cards that take other cards, like the NM-2FE2W cards, when there are other cards (like WIC-2T cards) installed in these network module cards, how are the ports on the installed cards uniquely identified? Is there another level due to the cards that can be plugged into the NM cards? For example, InterfaceType NM Slot/WIC Slot/Port, or visually:
NM Slot 1 w/NM-2FE2W installed
NM-2FE2W Slot 0 w/WIC-2T installed
Serial 1/0/0 (IS THIS CORRECT?)
Serial 1/0/1
NM-2FE2W Slot 1 w/WIC-2T installed
Serial 1/1/0 (ARE PORTS OF THE SAME TYPE NUMBERED CONSECUTIVELY AS IN SLOT 0?)
Serial 1/1/1 (SO WOULD THESE PORTS BE Serial 1/1/2 AND Serial 1/1/3?)
NM Slot 2 w/NM-2FE2W installed
NM-2FE2W Slot 1 w/WIC-2T installed
Serial 2/1/0 (WILL THESE WIC PORTS ALWAYS START FROM 0 REGARDLESS OF WHICH SLOT THE CARD IS IN?)
Serial 2/1/1
If this is not the correct numbering scheme for this type of card configuration, how would these ports be numbered?

I believe it can change based on the type of router you're putting a wic in. Here's a link explaining differences between routers:

John, thanks for the link. That document does not explicitly answer my question, although, the description of the interface numbering for the 3600 Series of routers seems to infer that my assumptions are incorrect, and the WIC cards that are installed in the network module cards are numbered the same way as they are when they are installed in the slot 0 WIC slots.
Can someone confirm that the interface numbering for this specific situation looks like below?
3745 NM Slot 1 w/NM-2FE2W installed
NM-2FE2W WIC Slot 0 w/WIC-2T installed
Serial 1/0
Serial 1/1
NM-2FE2W WIC Slot 1 w/WIC-2T installed
Serial 1/2
Serial 1/3
3745 NM Slot 2 w/NM-2FE2W installed
NM-2FE2W WIC Slot 1 w/WIC-2T installed
Serial 2/0
Serial 2/1
Thanks,
Alan
