How do I configure Static IP and Default Gateway on a WAN port on a Cisco Router 2800

I was able to configure the IP Address but how about the Default GatewaY?

I did 

ip address 200.2.14.2 subnet 255.255.255.248

What's the command for default gateway let's say the gateway is 200.2.14.1?

really but why cant i ping public IPs outside my LAN.. altho i can just ping the gateway 200.2.14.1?

how can i access WAN side?

where are you ping from? router or LAN?

if you ping from LAN, you need NAT to reach public IPs

If the default-gateway should be 200.2.14.1 then set a static route ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 200.2.14.1
