Pls, i am experiencing unneccessary mail application gulping my bandwith, how do i identify the host doing this on my router

run netflow on the router
and install a netflow collector.

Has a 30 day trial ... There also instructions on the site on how to configure netflow.

The router has limited ability to do collect this.
You can put in
IP route-cache flow on a interface and then show ip cache flow. This will only show open flows not historic data.
You can try configuring the top-talkers with the global command ip flow-top-talkers and it will keep track of flows over a short time.
You can also use ip accounting on the interface which collects more long term data but you will have to process the results results with a external program like excel to get useful data. IP accounting can a performance impact on your router so watch the loads when you first turn it on.

Best solution is sniffer or ethereal that are free utilities.
check the top talkers.
