I've purchased the license and save it on flash:

I understand I will need to do the following.

license install flash:/<>.lic

but do I need to do after this? it's not clear on the website

current license level

License Level: adventerprise
License Type: Permanent
Next reload license Level: adventerprise

StoreIndex: 13 Feature: interface_10g Version: 1.0
License Type: EvalRightToUse
License State: Active, Not in Use, EULA accepted
Evaluation total period: 8 weeks 4 days
Evaluation period left: 8 weeks 3 days
Period used: 1 hour 8 minutes
License Count: 0/0 (In-use/Violation)
License Priority: Low

You already have an eval license for 10G, if you got purchased the license you can install it as below : ( your syntax is correct)

platform hardware throughput level  XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Hi, thanks for your response. Do I need to configure

license boot level ?? advipservices  ??

and then reload?

This part is not clear on how to activate the license.

You already have license for below :

License Level: adventerprise
License Type: Permanent
Next reload license Level: adventerprise

check  :

show platform hardware throughput level

You need to activate the new 10G License and change the throughput.

# platform hardware throughput level 10000000

Follow the proceedure to accept EULA and yes

write the config

reload

after reload verify :

# show platform hardware throughput level

Thanks but if I don't need to change the throughput level nor the license boot level. Do I still need to reload?

I'm just trying to avoid any reload if not necessary.

if you don't reload the new change will not be effective, hope the goal is to activate the 10G throughput right?

you can reload the maintenance window to take effect, if your current throughput is ok then you do not need to reload.

Hi, actually the throughput increase is not necessary it more the "interface_10g" feature.
This is just a router reflector so throughput is not essential, but we just need to migrate it to a 10G interface due to the requirement on the core connectivity.
Btw.. thanks for your help here.

Sure understand the requirement.

Is the license going to become permanent soon?
I mean if the evaluation license expires and there is an SFP+ in there ... It will get ugly really fast.

Hi, yes the license will be permanent.

Hello- I am using an used Asr1001 with current throughput 2.5gb however I only need one port with interface_10g" feature, no need to increase throughput. Can I still be able to use one 10g port after license expire? I don't have a permanent license for 10g. Can somebody explain what would happen after license expire? Transition date is in 2 days.
