Anyone have any experience in configuring G.703 multiflex for
Voice/WAN? Bear with as this is my first time configuring an E1 G.703
multiflex trunk. This will be an international link between 2 countries.
My questions are what are the information do I need to get from my
service provider?
Do I configure default clocking configuration on both sides? Or do I configure clocking on only 1 router? ie. clock source internal
I guess that clocking is the only thing I need to take note of as G.703 states that I have to provide my own clocking.
Line code will be HDB3 and line-termination will be 120-ohm as these are the default settings.
Am I correct?

The following is the configuration for Router A, a Cisco 1721 router.
card type e1
controller E1 0
clock source internal
channel-group 0 unframed
interface Serial 0:0

Hi
As per my knowledge, you will be using the connectivity of TELco.
The following is required:
(1)Line code(line code HDB3)
(2)Clock source(clock source line)
(3)Time slots(channel-group 0 timeslots 1-31 speed 64)
(4)framing(framing no-crc4)
Then a serial interface is created and you can configure it.
If any probs. revert back.
