How to get DHCP from a firewall to a Cisco 1000 48p

I cannot get the firewall to provide dhcp after trying several options. I tried using it as the ip router, the default gateway with no success unfortunately. I would prefer getting it from the DC but management wants it strictly from the firewall.

the FW must be GW of client otherwise it can not assign IP to client.

When I make the firewall the GW the switch will not work. It cannot be logged into by putty/GUI

OK, keep the GW in SW and only config IP helper under the SVI of client VLAN  toward the FW for DHCP.
