How to get line protocol up/down notification at SP level?

Hi all,

In some box I see "%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN" message at RP and in some box I see "%LINEPROTO-SP-5-UPDOWN" SP message as well. How to enable  this logging status @ at SP level?

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I have already set the logging levels but in some box I see logg events being recorded from SP (switch processor) and in some box I get from route processor (RP). I just want to know if I need to set something to get logging events from SP? I am talking about 7600 router model.

If you already configured syslgo on this units you can add the command bellow on the interface config menu

interface GigabitEthernetx/x
logging event link-status
