How to upgrade IOS on Router

anyone have good instruction with the minumum risk to upgrade the router IOS

do I need to pay to download or upgrade IOS ?

we bought the router 3 years ago cannot remmeber who was it

it should be easy to install IOS which is only software

are there any other way ?

In case you prefer not to perform the upgrade, you may disable NBAR on the device which will prevent the bus error from reoccurring.
