Hello @krahulbgp,

IP Services license is not mandatory for OSPF on Cisco switches. OSPF is supported on Cisco switches with both IP Base and IP Services licenses, as long as the switch model and IOS version support OSPF.

However, the IP Services license does provide additional features and capabilities beyond what is offered in the IP Base license.

But for basic OSPF functionality, the IP Base license is sufficient.

LAN Base license provides Layer 2 switching functionality with support for VLANs, STP, RSTP, and PVST, among other features. It also includes some Layer 3 functionality such as Static routing, HSRP, and VRRP.

On the other hand, IP Base license provides basic Layer 3 routing functionality, including static routing, Routing Information Protocol (RIP) versions 1 and 2, and EIGRP stub. It also supports some Layer 2 switching features such as VLANs, RSTP, and PVST.

Best regards

WS-C3850-48P 16.3.7  -License -LANBASE

will ospf  suport  if not how to support ,what to do

@krahulbgp

OSPF requires either IP Base or IP Services license to be installed on the switch. The LAN Base license provides basic Layer 2 switching features, whereas the IP Base and IP Services licenses provide advanced Layer 3 features, including dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF.

To upgrade the license, you will need to purchase the license from Cisco and then install the new license on the device.

Best regards

Hi

 You can not run routing protocol like ospf in a Lan base switch license. You need to purchase IP base and install on the switch. Talk to a cisco resselller to get the license.

this can help you,
you need IP services
