Guys;
I have two routers and HSRP is running fine between them. I used to make changes on Active router during production but sometime forget to implement changes on standby router which cause problem when failover occurs and it leads to very tense situation during troubleshooting.
Do somebody have any idea to synchronise the configurations between two routers. if i made one change on active router is should reflect on standby as well.
Thanks in Advance; all forum guys are v nice and helping.

Never heard of this in a router. FWSM is supported.

Hi,
I too agree with Leo.
If you want Sync between each other, you will have to look at something external, something that would have write perms (like through SNMP or AAA). Maybe a tacacs+ system can do this? I know there are products/scripts that can tftp off / snmp read the config and store them off. There maybe a push mechanism as well?
But just because they are in a HSRP standby group, doesn't mean that they can replicate.

I do agree with you both guys; I have serach lot to find something like this but no success yet.

Dude, don't get offended of what I'm about to say. It's got nothing to do with you at all.
I don't know about Cisco but I don't see this as useful feature. I believe the feature of router configs synchronizing among themselves are destructive. I've tried to remember in my past where we have two routers running HSRP with the same configs (except, of course IP addressing). And I've come up blank.
That's my two-cents.

If you're truly wanting this, your best bet may to be to write an Expect script that would take input, or a text file with your commands, and then the script connects to both of your routers and runs the script individually.
There's nothing in a router that would allow you to sync configs like an ASA does....

John
