Folks,
I have a special need. Our Data center is on the 15th floor and the delco tells me that they would have to extend the demarc over 150 feet. Does anyone have any specifications on standards for HSSI interface and T3 interface of a Cisco 3700 series router in regards to distance?? are their any signal boosters available? can we use commands on the interfaces ( T3 or HSSI) to boost the signal??
I am make sure that i post the right thread as this is very important to me.

Per the link below you can set the cable length option on the T3 card to a max of 450 feet. I would assume this changes the signal level. Hope this helps.

Hi!
It will be beneficial for you to use the NM-1T3/E3 network module. Aside from the fact that it is programable to up to 450ft depending on the cable type, a typical BNC cable is used. Unlike in the HSSI, you will have to use a specific cable which is only limited to up to 10ft. To extend the HSSI, you will need to use an external DSU. Here are the specifications that you can check for both.
