I have a 2900 series router to replace a 2600 router. The 2600 router has a serial WAN connection via a CAT5 connection. The 2900 has a serial connection via a different type of connection (HWIC-1T). Is there a interface card for the 2900 series that has a CAT5 connection. Confused on how to attach using this HWIC-1T card. Please advise. Thx...Chris

Can you tell us a bit more about the connection on the 2600? Is this CAT5 connecting the router to an external CSU/DSU? What kind/model of serial card is in the 2600?

The Card that is in the 2600 is the VWIC 1MFT-T1. Yes...it is connecting to an external CSU/DSU. Thanks! Chris
