HWIC 2T for Cisco Router 1941

Hello Community,

I am wondering if someone could help me with a issue I am having. I need to order 2 HWIC cards for my home lab and they are pretty expensive. I want to be able to emulate a PPP connection. I just want to know if all HWIC 2T cards are the same. I am also wonder what type of cable I would need.

I have a second question,  what type of cable would I use t connect a HWIC 2t to a Wic 2T.

Hi its a serial cable you need for WIC to WIC between the pair

why not buy refurbished parts if just for a LAB , theres usually companies that sell them locally depending where you are

https://www.txo-systems.com/product-search/?ps=wic2t

or use an emulator like gns3 which can emulate PPP

Hello Mark,

Thanks for the suggestion, I really want to use really equipment and I have put a bit of money into the lab already.  don't  want to use a simulator. I will take your advice on local stores here in Chattanooga.
