SDM can be confusing and produce non-working results, more importantly will prevent you from learning configuration. Tell us what you need to do with the router and we will point at examples or give tips.

Anyways i think the ISR routers get shipped ith the SDM. Can you see the sdm related files when you do a dir flash:

If you do not have SDM, then you may need to download the SDM related files on to your flash.
