IE3300 Network Essentials to Advantage License Upgrade NOT IN USE

Our client recently purchased a Network Advantage license to upgrade an existing IE3300 switch from Network Essentials. They need this to enable EIGRP routing functionality. I ran through the license reservation upgrade procedures from the Cisco documentation successfully, but then when confirming the update with show license summary, I see the IE3300_Network_Advantage Entitlement Tag, but with a count of 0 and Status "NOT IN USE"
When I try conf t - router eigrp, the command is not shown as an option.
What can I do to make the license become active?

the documents you reference to describe the Cisco "traditional licenses" process using a PAK, to generate a license file that needs to be installed on the device.
Cisco has advanced to other licensing methods that do not use this process, your device may have been configured for these methods?

Thank you for the response.

The procedures I linked above did work to 1) request, 2) reserve, then 3) install. However, functionality of Network Advantage did not follow, and nothing seems to be documented in this set of info for next steps.

Show License Summary output:

Your link refers to specific feature license add-ons like MRP, which are actually outdated after MRP became a built-in feature with all IE3x00 firmware. However, the processes shown contained a key insight that led me to the solution: a command is needed to enable the MRP feature, otherwise, a similar symptom is seen (Count 0 - Status NOT IN USE): platform license feature mrp-manager

Though this command does not work for my situation, a related one I found does:

License Boot Level Network-Advantage

Then wr and reload. SUCCESS!

Configuring Licenses on Cisco Catalyst 9000 Series Switches - Cisco

Good to hear yo made a step forward.

From the last screen may I conclude smart licensing is enabled?

But no smart account is displayed, so you probably do not have contact with the licensing server

Me too. Hopefully this post can help someone else someday.

Unfortunately, the switch is no longer on my desk, so I cannot currently run commands to validate whether smart licensing is enabled. I can tell you that some of the commands used for this process involved "smart" terms (eg: license smart reservation install file)

We are on an isolated industrial network, so there is no access with the CSSM or any other licensing servers. No call-home was a line I added to our config.
