installing V.92 on the router

is installing The Cisco Integrated V.92 Modem WAN Interface on the router for remote access will cause security concern, and one more question , How do you find if there is a modem connected and configured on the router . Thanks

Any time you connect a device to a network, you have a security concern!  Just ensure that you have password or AAA protection on the line.

Hi,

once the modem card is installed, you should see in configuration a new Async interface appearing.

You can apply all the configuration, including security commands, under that interface.
