All,
Appreciate if anyone can suggest a proper interface configuration in Cat3550 when connected to a Cisco828(which is connected to another 828 via a pair of copper cable, something like extended the LAN from Cat3550). Thanks for any responses.

Please advise the detail requirement then we can help. If it is only a layer 2 connection at the 3550. There is no specific configuration required. If you want some features at 3550, please advise.
Hope this helps.

Layer 2 all the way from the end 828<-->828<-->Cat3550(DHCP server sits here). I'm referring to Cat3550 fastethernet interface configuration that connects to 828 and was thinking whether something like below can help:
switchport mode access
spanning-tree portfast disable
speed 10
duplex half
no shut
Thanks.
