In my 7200 router one of the Gig interface is going down in every 30 minutes. The physical interface is not going down, and I dont have any log for that. But my ospf neighbourship is resetting in every 30 minutes and I am losing my pinging  at the same time.  The problem started after I changed my router last week.

I am using 7200 series router with ios Version 12.4(3i) . I have configured the ip in the subinterface .   Please advise

Hello Do you have any logging for the ospf adjacency failures? Have you tried iOS upgrade on the new router? Res Paul

Thank you for your reply . There is logging for the ospf adjacensy changes and when i was pinging at the same time the interface was not pinging . Actually it was not os upgradation, I changed the flash card recently. After that the issue started. And I have other router  with the same os working fine

Is it possible IOS image has changed after flash card been replaced ?

Post the output to the command "sh interface <PORT>".

I think I solved the issue.............. I was using a secondary range of IPs in the router interface to access the wireless devices. I removed these IPs before from router interfaces as a part of trouble shooting, but didnt solved the issue. now I removed the same range IPs from the wireless devices also. And i dodnt have any problem for last 14 hours. But I am confused because, the same set up was working with my old flash card with same configuration. may be an IOS issue. Thank you all for your valuable reply
