Hi Guys,

I have dedicated internet line from ISP with 20 mbps download/upload after I connected my Gateway and ASA, then I made speed test, suddenly the speed dropped down to 2 mbps download and 20 mbps upload, I said to my self " let me disconnect the WLC from network because I have many clients connect to wireless" then I disconnected the WLC and the speed came back again 20 mbps download 20 mbps upload!!! what should I do in WLC or in my network to fix this issue, or I have to ask more speed from ISP?

Many thanks for all,

Mohammad Saeed

you mean make AVC profile such as block youtube

No, not BLOCK(s) application but RATE LIMIT the application(s).

First you find out which application(s) is/are chewing up your bandwidth, next you change AVC settings from "Mark" to "Rate Limit".

Turn on AVC on your WLC and rate limit the applications chewing up your bandwidth.

Hmmm you mean make AVC profile such as block youtube...etc. , yes but this project is 5 stars hotel and the guest will complain about that! so I have to increase the speed from ISP side? or still another solution?

Hi Leo,

Many Thanks, now I marked and rated limit some applications and the speed get up from 2 mbps to 15 mbps.

but I have question about limit rate in AVC, gave me two values (avg/burst rate) I put 500 kbps/1000kbps is this OK!

Thanks

Turn the values around, i.  e.  average is 1000 and burst is 500 (or 0).
