Check your spanning tree, and ensure the VRRP is working correctly.

why spaningtree ? the coreswitch are stack ?

In my experiance with stack switches, it has not always been 100%.
I have had instances in the past where 1 or more of the switches in the stack have actually seen themselves as stand-alone switches and acted accordingly.
Rule this out before looking elsewhere.
