IOS upgrade of 7613 router

Hi All,

                I have to upgarde latest image of IOS on 7613 router ,I have to implement SLA on this and currently its not supporting . I m posting image of current IOS . I think its a 7200 router image.plz help me to upgrade it.

Hi Yasir,

                     Thanx for reply. To use the service of ISSU , I have to copy IOS on both sup both active and standby ? Am I right ? Can u plz elaborate me in detail about 7613 ISSU method. I wll be thankful to u.

Hi Yasir,

                        Thanx for reply. Actually I have this link and also downloaded it but the critical thing is I m bit afraid about it because its our core router and even a single mistake can create big problems and I dont want to be get fired from Co. I will test it after 15 days and will tell u the results.

Haha, Yeh its hell lot of risk in it, i remember when i did it first time it worked and i jumped with my collegues, everyone was congratulating me because it was my idea and i fought for it to my higher management, so i was very happy, because it only created 10 seconds of downtime and our core router was upgraded, but very next moment, core router restarted because if incompatiblity of both active and backup images, and it caused nearly 15 minutes of downtime because of ISSU 's wrong variables.

Thats why i would say that you must do a complete research before doing it, you can take help direct from CISCO TAC if you have a support contract.
