I have an IOS upgrade scheduled on a 2800 router and I have to erase the present IOS. This is a remote location.
I am worried that if the new IOS does not work properly that the router will boot in rommon mode.
I would still have access to the router via a modem connected through the cosole of the router.
How would I upgrade a router IOS in rommon through a US Robotics Modem connection on the console the router and using a US robotics on my desktop computer to dial into the router? I cannot locate any documents on the Internet about this.
Has anyone done this before?
