Hello,

odd indeed.

When I look at the command reference, the syntax of the command they give looks slightly different:

RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router# configure
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config)# ipsla
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:router(config-ipsla)#

Hi Shajil,

You need to enable the manageability package, so you can use IP SLA.

Node 0/RSP0/CPU0 [RP]
Boot Partition: xr_lv1178
Active Packages: 14
asr9k-xr-7.1.2 version=7.1.2 [Boot image]
asr9k-mgbl-x64-2.0.0.0-r712 <+++++++++++++++++++++++ This is the package you are missing.
asr9k-mpls-x64-2.0.0.0-r712
asr9k-isis-x64-1.1.0.0-r712

Refer to the following configuration guide to configure ip sla, after installing the manageability package.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/asr9000/software/asr9k-r6-5/system-monitoring/configuration/guide/b-system-monitoring-cg-asr9000-65x/b-system-monitoring-cg-asr9000-65x_chapter_0100.html#ref_1003836

I have the mgbl file in my disk0; but seems like it is not activated in

How can i specifically activate that package only ?
asr9k-mgbl-px.pie-6.1.4

Please let me know

is there any impact if i do activate it ?
