Hi All,
Need the clarity on IP flow ingress and egress and their functionality
And please correct my understanding on both
ingress - Which monitors traffic enters into interface from LAN
Egress - Which monitors traffic enters into interface from WAN
And also confirm the difference if i configure ingress on LAN interface and egress on WAN interface.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Suresh

Hi Suresh,
This will monitor the traffic coming to LAN interface and traffic going out of WAN interface
If your traffic is coming via LAN and goes out of WAN, then this will be showing traffic only in one direction that is traffic flowing out
Thanks

Hi Suresh
Ip flow ingress will monitor the traffic entrering to the interface where you have configured it
Ip flow egress will monitor the traffic exiting out of the interface where you have configured it

Hi Suresh,
There is nothing specifc on LAN or WAN. It monitores the ingress or egress traffic based on the config you have applied on the interface
Thanks

Hi Raj,
If you consider the traffic from LAN and WAN, i feel there is a different
LAN interface - entering from WAN traffic is download and entering from LAN is upload traffic
WAN interface - it will reverse to above explanation
in addition to above
If i configure the ingress command on LAN interface and egress command on WAN interface will it monitor the up and download traffic or only one way traffic. Please confirm
Please clarify me on above considerations.
