IP routing on 3750 switch

I received a call from a former student that's trying to do IP routing on a

3750 switch. I talked him through how to enable IP routing then put the

protocol on the switch. He sees the routing protocols with the ? but when he

attempts to config it (i.e. OSPF) he gets (unknown routing protocol) even though he

sees the protocol as being available.  He is using IOS (c3750-ipservicesk9-tar.122-25.SEB4.bin)

I don't understand why he is getting the (unknown routing protocol). I will attached the switch config. If you look down

towards the bottom,  you will see the message he is receiving.

Hello,

The configuration you have attached indicates that the image your student is running is 12.1. I am assuming it could be the base image (i9 image) which does not support the OSPF natively. Can you please check the IOS image and see if they are running the newer image?

Hope this helps.

NT
