Is it possible for HSRP to work between two different model of switch?

We have a a pair of 3750-x switches that are running hsrp. The secondary is going to be replaced with a 9300-24s switch and has identical configuration. The plan is to get the 9300 into HA with the 3750 and then failover to the 9300 and test that traffic is traversing correctly, but don't know if HSRP will work between these two models.

as Long as Layer 2 extended, i do not see any issue here.
