I'm trying to copy an IOS image between two ASR routers. The two routers are separated by a firewall and TFTP is blocked, but FTP is allowed. I know I can pull images down to a router from an FTP server (i.e. the ASR router is the FTP client) but is it possible to configure one of the routers as the FTP server and have the other router, configured a the FTP client, pull the image from the other router? Looking through the commands, I see some FTP options, but none that appear to configure the router as the FTP server.

Hello,
the 'ftp-server enable' command used to be available, a very long time ago, but I think Cisco removed it somewhere in version 12.x because it was considered buggy and insecure. So the answer would be no, unfortunately...

I do not suggest option of copy from router to router, i do not belive you have options now with the latest version.
safe way is FTP Server.
