Is NBAR supported on a 4507 switch with a WS-X45-Sup6L-E supervisor

Hi,

I am trying to find out if NBAR is supported on the 4507 switches with a Sup 6L-E module - I can't seem to find any info.

NBAR is not supported on SUP6L-E. Its an IOS software features supported on Cisco routers. It was also supported on Cat6500 SUP32-PISA which is EOL/EOS now.

Do you know if there are any future plans to add NBAR to the switching roadmap?

Also, what is proposed as best practice for classifying traffic at the access layer? Is it just using ACL at layer 4 or autoqos?
