ISDN CALLER

Does this command support regular

expressions , so that a one line command can allow a range of say 200 numbers, rather than

200 lines isdn caller. if it only supports one number per instance of the command, is there a limitation on the number of times the command can be used on an interface .This is for voice call filtering over isdn. Platform 3945 , no CME or CCM in the mix.

Hi,

Isdn caller does not support regular expressions.

However, from the command reference:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/dial/command/reference/dia_i2.html#wp1011429

"Use the letter X to represent a single "don't care" digit"

The following example configures the router to accept a call with telephone number containing 415 555-01 and any numbers in the last two positions:

isdn caller 41555501xx

I'm not a voice expert but perhaps Voice Translation Rules can help you here, see "Reject Calls" example:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk652/tk90/technologies_tech_note09186a0080325e8e.shtml

Hope this helps

Marco
