ISDN Dialer Test Call .??????

Hi

I want to Test a call from My ISDN Bri interface i have avialbe ISDN pair to chk it

Physically i have made it and now want to config it Just dial an other Isdn Number ????

How I do it ????

My config ... are will it Work ????

nterface Dialer0

no ip address

no ip directed-broadcast

encapsulation ppp

dialer remote-name XXXXX

dialer idle-timeout 300

dialer string 0514409244

dialer pool 1

ppp authentication chap

If you simply want to test the BRI interface, I would just use the 'isdn test call' command. It's available in privileged exec mode.

If you want to do it with the dialer interface you're going to need a static route that points out the Dialer0 interface before an outdial will be made.

IOS (tm) 2500 Software (C2500-IS-L), Version 12.0(3)

and I have chek the ISDN test Call command it s not avialble ..

Can you tell me in little bit detail the other method

Put an ip address from the same subnet (/30 would work well) on each end and then ping the remote end. This will then initiate the dialer
