ISDN not able to dial

pankajs

I have not been able to dial to a specific remote location from my central location. This is the only site where I am not able to dial, all other locations work fine.

Attched is config and debug.

File named "CE" is from central router and file "CODO" is from remote router.

Bri1/1 is the interface used to dial remote router. Remote router is able to dial itself.

Please suggest what can be causing this not to work.

Hello,

I am not really clear on your debug output. From the CE router CE-FAIZABAD, you are doing a test call to:

isdn test call int b1/1 05362229909

Yet in the dialer map statement for the DOCO-IRRG-DIV-2-SLTNPR router, you specify a different number:

dialer map ip 10.2.40.8 name DOCO-IRRG-DIV-2-SLTNPR broadcast 955362229909

Which is the right number, can you check that ?

Regards,

GP

Hi GP,

The actual number is 229909. As the remote location is out of local dialing distance. There are two types of dialing available one with

05362 prefix and other with 955362 prefix.

I get the similar problem with both the numbers.

Thanks

hi

do you have any logs captured on the other side of connection (i.e.,sultanpur)?

Also is the data channel opened up out there in the ISDN line to get the connectivity ?

I had a tough long back (esp with the same telco)facing the same kinda issue and recd the response as data channel blocked.it worked like charm once it was opened as per themm..

Hi

You got it right!! Data channels were blocked.

Thank you

hi

Good to know that its solved, but its weird that it happens mostly with the same Telco..

Interesting stuff here is u do all kinda troubleshooting and get drained urself, later u go mad when u come to know nothing to do with ur config or equipments all to change a simple thing at the Telco side.

regds

Right!!. Also, intially, the Telco refused to admit that its their issue. I have attached debug and ISDN disconnect cause code hoping that no one else will bang his head for a small issue.

Thanks Again!
