To assign a static IP to my firewall the ISP needs the mac address of my ASA 5505 firewall. Which mac address do I provide?

The Vlan 2 interface mac or Eth0/0 interface mac address?

I have attached my config.

Thank you!

Hello,

'show interface outside' should give you the interface and corresponding MAC address you are looking for.

HTH

Thanks

When I did show interface outside it give me this interface:

Interface Vlan2 "outside"

So I guess it is this one?

That should be the one. If you have split the physical interface into two logical Vlan) interfaces, they will share the same MAC address. In that case, you can also set a MAC address manually on the interface, e.g.:

interface Vlan2

mac-address 576e.6384.b72b

Thanks

Yea, I don't need to set it in the firewall. Basically I need to assign the mac address to the static IP address on the ISPs setting page which is why I needed it.

Thanks for your help! Hopefully its the right one haha.
